Open **System settings → Connections**. 2. Select the correct **Connection type**. 3. Set the correct **Access type** direction. 4. Click **Apply**. ## What this section covers * automatic **location connections** between clients and team members who share a location * manual **peer connections** between clients and team members * both **Client → team members** and **Team member → clients** directions * assign, unassign, and batch workflows * **Assign all new clients** in the team-member-centric direction ## Connection rules to know * A client and a team member can be connected by a shared **location** or by a manual **peer connection**. * Shared locations automatically create client-to-team-member access. * Manual peer connections can connect a client and team member even when they do not share a location. * A client must always have at least **one active team member** assigned. ## Role differences * **Super Admin / Admin / Supervisor:** Can view connection lists. * **Super Admin / Admin:** Can assign, batch assign, unassign, and batch unassign. * **Super Admin:** Can use **Assign all new clients**. * **Clinician / Basic:** Do not have access to this section. ##
