# Show or Hide Service Columns

**Audience:** Super Admin, Admin\
**Page type:** Task guide\
**Status:** Draft\
**Owner:** Compassly Documentation Team\
**Last verified:** 2026-04-07

## Purpose

Use the column selector to control which service table columns are visible on the page.

## Before you start

* You must be on **System settings** > **Services**.

## Steps

1. Click the **Select columns** button on the **Services** page.
2. Review the list of available columns.
3. Clear a column checkbox to hide that column.
4. Select a column checkbox again to show it.
5. Close the column selector when you are finished.

## Important

* The verified selector shows column checkboxes such as **Code**, **Description**, **Minutes per unit**, and **Action**.
* By default, all columns are selected.
* Showing or hiding columns changes the table view only.
* Exported reports can still include all columns even if some are hidden on the page.

## Role differences

* **Super Admin / Admin:** Can use the verified column selector.
* **Other roles:** \[VERIFY: confirm whether any additional roles can change visible service columns.]

## What happens next

Continue working on the list with the columns that are most useful for your task.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://compassly.gitbook.io/compassly-docs/administration/system-settings/services/show-or-hide-service-columns.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
