# View Appointment Library

## Purpose

Use **Appointment library** to find existing appointment types and open the action you need.

## Before you start

* You must be signed in to Compassly.
* You must be on **Appointments** > **Appointment library**.

## Role differences

* **Super Admin / Admin:** Can view the library and use add or edit actions that are available to their role.
* **Super Admin:** Can also delete appointment types when the type is not in use and password confirmation is provided.
* Other role access is unconfirmed.

## Steps

1. Select **Appointments** from the left navigation.
2. Select **Appointment library**.
3. Review the list of appointment types.
4. Use the search field to narrow the list.
5. Use the **Title** and **Specialty type** column filters as needed.
6. Open the row action menu when you need to edit or delete a type.
7. Click the **+** button in the upper-right corner when you need to add a new type.

## What happens next

* Open **Add Appointment Type** if you need to create a new type.
* Open **Edit Appointment Type** if you need to update an existing type.
* Open **Delete Appointment Type** if you need to remove a type that is no longer used.
