# Clone Maladaptive from Library

**Audience:** Super Admin, Admin, Supervisor, Clinician\

## Purpose

Use this workflow to assign an existing library maladaptive to the current client.

## Before you start

* The client must be active.
* The **Maladaptives** page must be on **In progress**.

## Important

* Cloning from the library creates a client-level snapshot.
* Later edits do not change the original library record.

## Steps

1. Open **Maladaptives** for the client.
2. Confirm the status dropdown is set to **In progress**.
3. Open the **Add new** menu.
4. Select **Clone maladaptive from library**.
5. Choose the library maladaptive and review the copied settings.
6. Click **Apply**.

## Role differences

* **Super Admin / Admin / Supervisor / Clinician:** Can clone from library.
* **Basic:** Cannot clone from library.

## What happens next

* The client maladaptive appears on the **In progress** list.
* Continue to the graph page when you are ready to track data.
