## Before you start

Before reviewing medication logs, confirm the following:

* You are signed in to Compassly.
* You can access **Medications → Logs history**.
* You understand that visible columns can change depending on filters, table settings, and the current view.

## How to get there

1. Sign in to Compassly.
2. In the left navigation, select **Medications**.
3. Select **Logs history**.

## Steps

1. Open **Medications → Logs history**.
2. Review the table for current medication log activity.
3. Use the search bar, date controls, and table filters to narrow the results.
4. Review the **Log status** values shown in the table:
 * **Administered**
 * **Not Administered**
 * **Not logged**
 * **Missed**
5. Interpret the statuses using the current workflow rules:
 * **Not logged** means the medication is due today and has not yet been logged.
 * **Missed** means the medication was due, the day passed, and no log was entered.
 * **Not Administered** means staff recorded that the medication was not given.
 * **Administered** means the medication was successfully given.
6. Open row actions when available if you need to continue into a log-related workflow.

## Role differences

* All listed roles can view medication logs.
* Some follow-up actions, such as download, reset, or batch update, may depend on role.

## What happens next

After reviewing the list, you can:

* add a new medication log entry
* download the current log view
* return to **Client medications** if the assignment itself needs to be changed

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://compassly.gitbook.io/compassly-docs/core-modules/medications/logs-history/view-medication-logs.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
