* The client must already have tracked attempts in the selected period if you want results to appear.

## Role differences

* **Super Admin, Admin, Supervisor, Clinician, Basic:** Can generate the report.
* **Super Admin, Admin, Supervisor:** Can manage session history data after the report is generated.
* **Clinician/Basic:** May have view-only access to the generated report.

## Steps

2. In **Client**, select one client.
3. In **Period**, select the date range.
4. In **Team members**, select one or more team members.
5. Select **Apply**.

## What the report shows

The generated report appears on the same page under **Reports**. Attempts are grouped:

* first by date
* then by skill or maladaptive

Each grouped entry can show:

* domain
* subdomain
* target skill
* status
* data type
* attempt details
* edit action
* delete action

## Warning message

When Compassly generates the report, it shows a warning explaining that editing or deleting attempts can recalculate mastering or baseline values.

## What happens next

After you generate the report, it appears directly below the report options. Depending on your role, you may be able to edit or delete attempts from the report.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://compassly.gitbook.io/compassly-docs/core-modules/reports/generate-session-history-report.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
